Aita for not wanting to hang out with my best friend’s bf? All 3 of us are part of the same friend group (6 ppl total) and he is generally a bad bf to her. Rude, inconsiderate, doesn’t make time for her, etc. She has considered breaking up with him (1/2)

multiple times but doesn’t want to bc she cares about him a lot and doesn’t want to effect the friend group. I’m never directly mean to him but I can barely stand to be in the same room as him. If he is hanging out with everyone I typically just leave or keep my distance, but she wants us both to get along/be more friendly. Aita?

You’re not the asshole you don’t have to be around anyone you don’t want to (free will is dope) but imo you are who you hang with on some level, so maybe he’s an odd one out but why does your whole friend group indulge him? Are you the only one with a problem? And why did she want to break up with him?

Friend group didn’t rly know about him being a bad bf until recently but pretty much everyone has distanced themselves from him since then. She wanted to break up with him bc of a fight they had over how much time he spends with her and he said some rly nasty things

It was also a little hard to get away from him bc he was roommates with 4/6 people in the friend group until about 2 weeks ago
