AITA: My roommate speaks on the phone for hours a day (3+) at an above average volume, all times of day (mostly afternoons and nights around 7-9). She calls in her room, so I feel bad asking her to be quieter, but I can hear her whole convo. What do i do?

take a video of you in your room while she’s on the phone, then later ask her to please be quieter. if she gets upset or defensive just show her the video.

As a loud phone caller have a convo and say how the walls are thin and her voice carries and that you can hear everything and don’t want to. text her or like knock or sm when she’s loud to ask her to be quieter. It’s a curtesy thing and for 3+ hours that’s a long time to hear all that. Considering your sharing a space not unreasonable to ask her to be quieter

you could ask her to be quieter, but that’s not very likely to make a huge difference anyway. Might be a better idea to ask her if you could agree on a set of quiet hours where neither of you would be noisy.
