one of my biggest hates. im always staunchly early or on time, so seeing people late to preplanned stuff gets me steaming. I started leaving them behind and moving when its time. i sell at a market w my rooommates/friends but we have to wake up at 7am for it, and i cant carry everything alone. ive been bummed many times and lost precious hours of sleep because no one woke up at our promised time. its just a huge disrespect towards the person who was on time every time

goofy follow up question but what ethnicity is your friend group? because i’m arab and we’re all always late and it’s something that we’re used to to the point where we schedule the plans ahead of when they acc are bc we know half of us is gonna end up being late (which is not the same ppl everytime)

Just stop tolerating it tbh. I had a couple friends who were 15-30 minutes late to everything and I just started leaving them and they learned that I don’t play about being on time. It’s disrespectful to you and it’s not something out of their control, they’re actively deciding that they don’t care about your time. Let them know next time yall have plans what time you’re leaving or what time frame you’ll be there for and if they don’t show up, leave.

Lie. Tell them your plans are 2 hours before they actually are, but occasionally complain that they’re late so they don’t catch on 🤫

I’m a people pleaser too but think about it this way: if you go find better friends you can be a positive influence among them and still be a people pleaser in a new group that does value your efforts
