I don’t think it’s insane to ask them politely to try to tilt them away from your door so you’re not constantly setting it off. I don’t think there’s really super clear lines about things like this, however i remember reading a Reddit thread very similar and if it’s recording you on your own property im almost positive that there can be some legitimate argument against it

I don’t live directly across from them, our houses are positioned diagonally from each other, but somehow I always manage to set off their motion detectors
