I told my boyfriend i needed help and he ghosted me for 2 days then i ‘attempted’ and he never even checked in on me. I was in the hospital for 4 days. Never asked if I was okay or visited. I broke up with him yesterday and he still hasn’t texted back

Hey so break up with him. Sincerely, someone who was so mentally engrossed in my partner that I SH and ruined my beautiful legs just because being with him put me in psychosis. After being no contact with him and learning to support myself I genuinely couldn’t imagine going what I did.

Sociopathic people rely on being seen as normal with empathy when they don’t have it. They strike when they cash in using the person as a resource.

i did break up with him, it has helped a bit but i still feel tortured by him. i texted him ending things 2 days ago and he never responded or even read the message, it’s awful

He’s using is lack of emotion as a weapon. When he doesn’t care, you shouldn’t either. That is how a sociopathic person is defeated. Where their true nature is seen and treated by their true nature. They prey on victims who feel and are nice to them.

i think you might be right but it’s so hard to get myself to believe it. i really thought he loved me. but he has literally not seemed to care that i almost died at all. he was even hanging out with friends drinking while i was in the hospital :/

i just can’t believe it. i guess i am optimistic and always try to see the best in people, but maybe he really just does suck and doesn’t care…

I understand OP. When we feel, we must process hurt feelings. Sociopathic people don’t which they use as an advantage. It’s when they cross that line and it is known they don’t not care and just see the person as a resource with no feelings, tragedy is bound to happen that they do not care on inflicting. Once they are treated for what they are, their mask comes off to show their true gruesome self and they’ll basically leave.

it’s just weird tho because he has a lot of friends and people like him, he doesn’t give off sociopath vibes. but there’s obviously somethingggg wrong with him. also part of what makes it so hard, everyone likes him and i don’t know if they’ll believe what he did to me :(

CEOs for example are charming and win the room over. They’ll select their victim and show their true nature and basically use that person. The rest of the group doesn’t seem to notice due to the charming facade and are given what they want from the CEO. In time the CEO ends up picking fights with too many people at once and the crowd starts the see it’s a predator and not a friend.

What happens is this is when the CEO is cornered and couldn’t benefit from their lies to get an even bigger job somewhere else. This is the way of the sociopath. What they want is power using people as a resource. The issue they run into is that as they seek power it gets too hard to hide it and the crowd figures it out.

So what I am saying is yes they win crowds but it won’t last. As it won’t last they’ll disappear and drive far away to find a new crowd that doesn’t know them. That’s the key there. Their past and history is a mystery but if one knows, it’s the same play book. Like snake oil salesmen of the past. The town figured it out and they drove to a new town.
