Told her that someone said you looked good or that someone flirted with you? And did she follow the same sorta path as you with the sorta getting out of shape as yall continued to date?

Idk how much you talk about it, but my bf is trying to be healthy and lose weight and he is constantly talking about it. It is exhausting to hear when I don’t work out and am confident so yea I do resent him a little.

for some context my gf and i have been together for 4 years. i gained a lot of weight during our relationship and im trying to better my health. my gf and i aren’t really active anymore and i figured it was because of my weight. fast forward to today some old coworkers of mine and i went out to lunch, they commented that i looked really good today and one of them was low key flirting with me. i told my gf and she said “ that’s nice but i don’t really notice a difference”

Ah ok. Yeah that’s a hard situation man. Seems like she’s jealous which makes sense, probably also feels bad about herself which is making her resent you. Is she open to making a lifestyle change with you? Even if It’s very gradual? Like have yall talked about it?

What are your feelings towards her as a partner? If you’re being brutally honest? I left a 4 year relationship and it sorta tore me apart ngl but I think it was also the right move. A friend asked me how often my relationship made me happy vs how often it made me feel sad or resentful. Our issues were very different but I think that the metric is still useful to consider

Also I’m just gonna throw this out there, I’d very much recommend talking to a therapist abt it. I’m more than happy to give my two cents but this is a complicated one and a professional might be able to help you think about it better than I can

aw man :( yeah shes probably jealous. body issues are hard. have you tried inviting her to the gym with you? it sounds like you need to have an open discussion about what she plans to do, without sounding like you’re cornering her
