AITA for telling my mom that she doesn't respect herself if she stays with her bf? he just cheated on her + possibly gotten the other woman pregnant, has no job, no car, + still lives w his mom (he is 35)

It’s harsh but you’re not. You care for her, I mean ofc. She’s your mom!! Sometimes hearing the truth from a loved one, especially when it’s harsh has a greater effect. Hoping everything gets better

Maybe I wouldn’t say the words “you don’t respect yourself” but try to use kinder words? Like hey you don’t deserve this, you don’t deserve to continue to feel this way, and maybe it’s time to leave before you continue to be hurt and potentially get even more hurt

Ok why is she dating someone that much younger ? You are just as far apart in age to him as she is to him. Plus, she could be his mom. Idk I hold the same standard for men too. They’re both consenting adults but sometimes people that engage in that dynamic are really just looking after youthful people and those people act hella immature and just want someone to take care of them like a mom without actually loving them

yeah i agree ive mentioned that to her multiple times but she doesn't see it as an issue so it just goes out the other ear. he has also tried acting like a stepdad multiple times which makes it even weirder
