I'm not really into. Making money off of my art is not sustainable because I don't even want to make things for my family. My love of making art is purely for myself and I just don't enjoy making something that I'm not totally into. But my mom keeps pressuring me to pursue art as a career. Or she keeps suggesting I make something for the family. When our dog passed away she asked me to make a memorial piece and I had to break it to her that 1. I don't draw realistic dogs often, and 2. I wasn't-

In a place where I wanted to draw her. I'm so tired of my mom pushing me to pursue art as a career because I know so many other artists deserve this kind of support. All I do is make fanart but that's because it's what I enjoy as a hobby. And that's what this is, a hobby. I feel like such an asshole for ignoring my passion but I don't want to be a professional artist. I want to teach science. And no I don't want to illustrate some biology textbook, I want to TEACH
