AITA I believe that if you can’t argue against your own personal beliefs on a subject (opinion/politics/religion/etc) then you are not informed enough on the subject. If you can’t debate both sides of the subject, then you don’t understand both sides.
For example, if you are pro gun, but you can’t argue reasons why they should be banned, then you’re not listening to the anti-gun community.

It shouldn’t be that hard to understand. Just because I’m pro this doesn’t mean I can’t find valid arguments against it.
Besides, if I’m going to debate my point effectively, I need to know how to beat valid points against my point.
