
I’m also a black woman with a white man and being a part of a group doesn’t magically make you generalizing and insulting a group—esp to people who aren’t in it ok. If you’re not ALSO saying good things you’re projecting trauma at best or stigmatizing people, reinforcing stereotypes, and possibly fetishizing others at worst. You don’t have to be a red flag to yourself but I’m not dating people who do that kind of stuff and I’d definitely be questioning their motives for dating me if they did.
yeah no same, my worst experiences have been with people in my own race that have been incredibly xenophobic towards me, now i instinctively just steer clear in terms of dating them, but it’s not like i hate my own race, i just wouldn’t take talking to a guy from my own race seriously (i mean it still happens sometimes, but it’s not smth i actively pursue)
