The way you worded this makes me think that you believe that her literally being taken advantage of is cheating. She shouldn’t have been blackmailed like that, and it would be even worse if it was someone that she knew who was doing that to her. I understand that it’s a lot to take in but at the very least go to some sort of couples counseling.
I’m guessing she cheated on OP by having consensual sex with an asshole, and the person she cheated with held it against her/threatened to tell OP to try to keep the sex going, she came clean to OP before the other person could and OP helped them report it but is still breaking up over the original consensual cheating that led to the ability to be sextorted. Or at least that’s what it sounds like to me
What happened was that she was sending intimate picture’s to someone she met online . Then they blackmailed her demanding two thousand dollars. So she told me. The blackmail wasn’t okay. But her cheating wasn’t okay either. I hope the people extorting her pay for what they did to her. But I feel betrayed that she willing sent pics to someone else.
The cheating was before the extortion. She was sending intimate pictures. Then got blackmailed. So she told me. I don’t blame her for being extorted. But I do blame her for sending intimate pictures to someone else. The blackmailers are responsible for their actions. She is responsible for her actions.
Then no, nta at all. It’s actually very telling how despite the betrayal you still made sure she wasn’t alone in the reporting process and insured she got as much justice as possible (online blackmail cases are insanely difficult to prosecute but you still made sure it was reported and that’s very noble)
