e all day. She asked me why I hadn't taken the trash out. I told her that it's because it's only halfway full. That was when she told me that it stunk. I genuinely didn't know and reminded her about my nose issues. She didn't believe me so I went up to the trash. It wasn't until my nose was at the lid when I could smell it. She still thinks I'm faking though "because I wear perfume". And even though I took out the trash afterwards, she won't speak to me.

seems pretty clear you’re nta. normal garbage doesn’t get super smelly over the course of one day. Unless you put something particularly smelly in there, it was probably similarly smelly yesterday too. If you put things that are likely to get smelly fast in there in the future, it’s probably a good idea to just take it out then, but if not, it’s not your problem
