I mean personally I would’ve at least mentioned, after saying the meaning, that it might have an impact on the way people view him and his chances of getting a job and stuff especially since it’s somewhere almost impossible to hide, but I think past mentioning it it’s def not your responsibility to push or convince him not to do it

I made it heavily implied, mainly because he already has a job and likely checked their policy, but I mainly didn’t mention perception because he frankly doesn’t care tbh
