I went to the Dunkin drive thru earlier for an $8 order. When I drove up to the window, I was informed that I was all set because the car in front of me paid for my order. I was happy but didn’t say anything and drove off without paying it forward. AITA?

You're never obligated to pay it forward, especially if you're spending more than you would have. If the person behind you was like $4 it would be nice to pay it forward, but again you're not obligated to. Also imagine if the person behind you did a mobile order. Kinda ends itself

imo nta, just bc someone was feeling generous doesn’t mean you have to do the same. if you have the means and want to then go ahead but if you don’t then just count it as a blessing
