AITA for wanting my friends to come celebrate my birthday on a cruise- been asking for years many months in advance. And after I get fed up and let down after so many times of sitting home on my b day I cut them off completely. Abt to do it to my last one

A cruise is a big commitment and expensive it’s a lot to ask for a birthday party. If they try to show up for you in other ways then I don’t think you should cut them off

i mean cruises are not for everyone if they don’t want to go in a cruise it’s understandable they can still try and celebrate with you in other ways if the cruise is why they don’t go but if they just don’t wanna celebrate at all that’s a dif story

Then I guess focus on the latter, even after saying/admitting that no I haven’t gone in previous years obviously, there were no celebrations or anything besides just the usual thing w the fam which is fine but every year and no socialization idk sucks to a degree
