am i wrong for being pissed at how reckless my boyfriend acts on the road when he’s by himself? with me he’s so careful and slow but he’s been in 2 crashes and totaled 2 cars this year already both times by himself

Not wrong at all. My boyfriend notoriously used to speed. I’m talking SPEED. He’s never hit anything, hurt anyone, crashed anything, but it’s the “what’s ifs”… it took my boyfriend getting a ultra super speeder and a 1k+ speeding ticket to shapen up. Now he never speeds (like more than 8-10 over). He’ll learn at some point. Try talking to him about how thats worrisome and reckless, ultimately costing some portion of your relationship

no that’s the crazy part, he knows i don’t play around about that driving intoxicated shit. he’s just so reckless with himself it’s infuriating

i’ve tried, the scary part is is that he does speed and he wants to get a motorcycle but i feel like i can’t trust him in a 4 wheeled vehicle where he’s locked in and atleast somewhat safe. i don’t want to think about his driving habits on something a thousand times worse because i do fear he will end up dying because of it

Damn im sorry. If you’ve already tried talking… you just gotta keep mentioning how worrisome it is. Take away his keys or something😭 give them to his parents or something like punishment timeout

it’s hard on that too, right now because i’m not at college it’s about a 2 hour drive distance just between me and his apartment and farther from his parents, it’s not like i can “ground” him but you’re definitely right im gonna keep mentioning how scared/worried i am for him. i truly do love him and we both waited so so so long for each other to finally be together im just scared that now that i have him im gonna lose him to something as stupid as a crash
