AITA for telling my coworker that he is a buckle bunny and wearing boots doesn’t make him country. I grew up in a small town where 2/3 of the school would be out for FFA conferences, we got the first day of hunting season off, and everyone was in 4H.

My coworker grew up in the suburbs and thinks that just because he wears jeans and boots and puts on a fake southern accent sometimes he’s automatically country. One day I had enough and told him flat out that he is a buckle bunny and what he wears doesn’t make him country its how he was raised.

enough of what, exactly? if he’s like actually claiming to be the countryest country boy that lived then sure, tell him off, but there’s no problem with liking boots no matter how you grew up
