I told her that while I want to be a good roommate, I sometimes have trouble managing everything and chores fall behind during the weekdays when I work/go to school and typically do "weekend refreshes" to deep clean which has been consistent. I told her that since I'm the only one on the lease rn, I'm hoping for someone who matches my daily cleanliest or somewhere in the middle. My now roommate said that was fine and signed the lease. How I keep the kitchen. I've worked to find a middle ground but she wants all or nothing. Now she's mad that I've reminded her that she knew this was how I lived before she even signed the lease, and that I told her I couldn't live by her "5 star standards". I've been trying to be better but with how busy I am, I sometimes can't unload the dishwasher in the morning or hand wash my breakfast dishes before class.
