Idk how we’re defining leftist but valuing family and interpersonal relationships isn’t exclusively conservative. It’s more of a “people” thing than a political one. At most I’d say conservatives use it to virtue signal or for talking points more.
There will come a time where friends and siblings will be too busy with their own lives with spouses and children to spend time with leftists and their parents won't be around forever.

Yeah, agreed. The conservative talking point is usually just about how to “protect” those relationships from others, while leftists want to improve community at a wider scale. Different perspectives, but not exactly opposing

Exactly. Grassroots community/coalition building and networking are all about nurturing interpersonal relationships. I don’t identify as a leftist but the ones I know have made it a point to get to know everyone in and outside their community, help those in need, and care a lot about kids. They’d drop everything to help me if I asked. This is a weird dichotomy OOP is making and I feel like they’re conflating the conservative talking point with lived reality.
