It's been a running joke that if I'm asked questions that students should know (like stuff from day 1), I say "You'll explode" before I give them/lead them to the real answer. My supervisor pulled me aside after the class and said that I was being unprofessional and should've just answered the kid's question. Which I kinda get but it's turned into this thing where if I say "you'll explode" it means that they should know it and to think for a moment to recall the information instead of...
Just giving them the answer. And the kids enjoy it. No one takes it seriously, and it comes from the class as we've had some pieces explode in the kiln. It's just one of the things I've started doing to engage the kids and it works. But maybe I am being unprofessional. So AITA For telling a student that they're gonna explode if they don't slip and score?
Also a teacher - NTA Admin are ass at observations. If they really want to observe and understand the classroom flow you built, truly it needs to be multiple times a week. Don’t let it get you down, just be mindful to NOT be yourself when they come back in. Everyone hates it, welcome to education babe
