if he’s not on the lease contact law enforcement and say you want him trespassed for not leaving your residence he might be trying to stay long enough to get squatter rights depending on the state ur in

Tell him you’re kicking him out end of the month so find a place to stay. He said he’d be out by the end of November hold him to his word on that.

I have but every time I talk to him about it he ignores me. I have even offered to help him and he refuses my help while complaining that it’s hard to get an apartment

Then do what everyone else is saying. Say if he’s not out by like dec 1st or something you’re gonna get the landlord or police to come get him out. You’ve given him time you’ve offered to help. It’s the same deadline he set but now some higher authority figures might come in to take him out. Even if he can’t find an apartment I’m sure he can get a friend to lend their couch or something, that way you don’t have to live with him.
