AITA For blocking and reporting someone for doing an *experiment* on dating apps? I matched with this one guy on hinge, one reason being that he put that he doesn't want kids. I later saw him on Bumble but this time he said he wanted kids. I asked him-

About it because not only do I never want kids, but I'm currently in the process of getting an entire hysterectomy. The guy ended up admitting that he wanted to see what gets him more matches. He said that he does want kids, but has found it harder to match with people that are his type because many women he likes do not want kids. So yeah I unmatched and reported him for lying.

NTA in my opinion because imagine if you would’ve matched with him thinking that he DOESNT want kids and then come to find out he actually does. Literally would’ve started the relationship off with a lie, so I think you did the right thing and called him out for it.

NTA , you can block someone for having weird vibes, NTa. And if you had the knowledge based off a previous experience or conversation that his intentions were for an experiment, that’s weird.

NTA. There is also no way that women aren’t matching with him cause he wants kids. He’s probably just not attractive to women.

I think it gets past ethics board if he debriefs participants

Yeah you are, if you’re interested than message him, if you’re not then don’t, trying to be a Karen with a hall monitor attitude is honestly incredibly rude. Not only that but it doesn’t feel like a coincidence for you to see the same person on both platforms and then to compare the profiles, gives internet stalker vibes. Also there’s nothing wrong with using dating apps to just try and meet someone, it’s incredibly offensive to get mad at someone for simply trying to meet more people.

Also what did he expect to happen? Was he going to mislead a woman into believing he dosent want kids as well and then try to change her mind? He’s a freak

Being a “hall monitor” and “Karen” but he’s actively lying to her and possibly other women…🫤
