If you come to thanksgiving, or any dinner someone else hosts really, and you dont bring food, YOU BETTER GET READY TO CLEAN SOME DISHES. and if you refuse, dont expect me to help with anything for the foreseeable future. Help me help you. 2 way street…
I domt agree, if you are a guest to my home you don’t need to bring anything and you are my guest you don’t help clean . I have been going to my friends thanksgiving for years and this as the first year I was able to help clean without it being seen as disrespectful

I agree, especially if you were asked to bring food

Ig it really depends on the person. Like in my family if you dont cook, youre helping clean. Sometime you can cook and still end up cleaning (me yesterday thanks to my annoying ass brother)

Maybe it’s becuase your thanksgivings are more family oriented and maybe pretty western beyond being American rather then being more European or African and American and or community based

Not even if you were asked and then didnt bring anything. If other people are cooking and bringing stuff, and you show up empty handed, best believe your doing dishes. And if you refuse, best believe im remembering that until next time
