Honestly, the only reason why something like that bothers someone is if you LET it bother you. If you love them, it shouldn’t really matter; the only thing that does matter if they constantly spend money on you, creating an unhealthy imbalance, but if they are just useing their money on you without it being excessive, then that should be ok.
