why does it cost so much to buy a kid to adopt them? i knew there were legal fees but damn it really seems like you’re purchasing a human. + i plan to adopt from foster care when im married so i get to put all that money into raising my kids

with private part of it is paying for the needs of the birth mother which can get very expensive, but yeah then it's mostly the legal fees and paying for anyone else ls services that's involved

a lot of private adoptions have the adopting parents pay for the birth mothers medical fees, obviously not all but that's part of it
