He’s always active. Just takes a discerning eye to see it. The more you read, the more you learn. Job is an intense book that should help you. God allows evil, but don’t fear, for His judgment is just, mercy is great, and His grace abounding. He paid it all, once and for all on the cross. Have faith 🙏 ✝️

I’m not OP, but FREE WILL is the answer. We all have it. That allows people to choose - to love, to hate, to do good, to do evil (sin), etc.

Sometimes walking people through it when they’re struggling helps though… free will has no favor, as you said… yet we ought to use our free will for obedience to God and not sin, yet there’s always consequence and punishment for sin. We must seek His grace and forgiveness and pray for peace and love our neighbor 🙏
