Hotels are private companies. Private residences. If they don’t want to house federal troops, they don’t have to. We have a 3rd amendment. Well protesting ice is in the constitution but maga is out here shooting us in the face.

Wrong. That hotel is a franchise. You must follow the operating rules and procedures of your franchisor, or your right to operate can be taken away. They did not have the right to refuse. Now they’re lost their right to operate under the franchise banner.

not really sure on the jurisprudence here—if it's what the third amendment intended I suppose, but personally I believe hotels aren't houses (u agree on). federal agents are not troops, they are law enforcement where the 3rd only acknowledges "troops". I feel like it would be wrong to not house them irregardless and because if it is considered a time of need it's illegal to not be housed. refusing people of services for the political beliefs would be crazy and is the antithesis of ur argument

The 3rd amendment was supposed to stop soldiers from staying in places they were not welcome. Ice officers are members of the state. It is not wrong to not house troops? They’re not in a time of need, they’re destroying communities and killing innocent Americans. 3rd amendment apply to cops and all agents of the state

again the federal agents/police are not troops, national guard, or soldiers. courts have already ruled in favor of the agents and police on this. I would classify it as a time of need because dt sent a gazillion agents (on our dime) to MN for whatever reason he has. Is that cop that killed the lady a pos, yeah u don’t shoot someone who is running away from you that’s not self defense atp. again I still find it wild that you would refuse service to a person based on their job/political beliefs.

The Supreme Court has ruled that anyone who works for the government is not allowed to force you to house them. Ice, military, cops, irs, whatever.

there is no Supreme Court ruling that says “anyone who works for the government” (ICE, military, police, IRS, etc.) is categorically barred from ever forcing you to house them. the actual constitutional rule is much narrower and applies specifically to soldiers being quartered in homes

Thank you for proving my point that you are out of touch with reality. I don’t necessarily agree with how ICE is acting. That’s genuinely stupid. But not tyrannical. Trump has given them legal protections (which simply means that getting in the way of ICE preforming their duties is a felony, which has been true for ANY federal agency forever). That is not the same as immunity.
