Taking a gap year (technically 2) so I can apply to med school next year after taking the MCAT in spring. Any help with the ‘gap’ year?? Idk it feels weird not in school (I have a full time job)

Make sure you can present it better. Ideally, they want you to still be engaged toward your medical goals. You can look into internships and other programs that offer shadowing and training. Small things like life guarding, phlebotomy, long term shadowing. Whatever you do, make sure you commit AT LEAST a few months. Definitely enough so that your supervisor may give you a letter of recommendation

Yea I’m currently working at a Hospital under a doctor! I’m hoping a year worth of experience will be enough😭

That should be plenty. Word of advice, whenever you start applying, make sure to give that Dr a few WEEKS to write your letter of rec. they’re busy ppl you know 😅
