Sometimes you can have great relationships looking past personal opinions and values! You can talk it over with him, but don’t try to change his mind. Keep an open mind yourself! Listen like you might be wrong. As a female myself, I understand how him not wanting you to have control over your body is an ick. But some people really believe that fetuses should be given a chance to live, and that killing them is like murdering a baby. It’s a messy topic with no right answer.
Abortion to safe the woman’s life absolutely. But there’s like a whole spectrum to the topic. I totally understand wanting an abortion if you’re literally gonna die like that shit is overdue. But if you just don’t want a baby after 8 months? And you were healthy up to this point? That’s where a lot of people draw the line
What I’m saying is, you’re basing your argument in people that don’t really exist. You’re saying eight months because it makes you sounds more reasonable than something like ‘abortion shouldn’t be a right for women unless they’ll die otherwise’ whereas my belief is ‘abortion should be a right’, full stop.
My personal conclusion is that people should have the freedom to make that moral decision themselves (pro-choice), and let God decide what was right when He judges them in the afterlife. I’ve found that that point of view resonates with some pro-life people I’ve met, if that helps. The important thing is to be non-confrontational. If you go into the discussion like a fight then it doesn’t really do any good.
