I didn’t have much pain when I lost my virginity. It shouldn’t be painful if you use lube and put it in gradually. Next thing I knew he was deep inside and it felt great!

Yeah if you’re already on the verge of hooking up then I’d say go with the flow, until it’s obvious you will have sex, then just mention “hey I’m a virgin, I really want this but pls be gentle” kinda thing… you can be upfront without feeling awkward about it
