It seems a little flat, but I’m also not very familiar with the song. Best thing to do is keep doing vocal exercises and practicing the songs that are within your vocal range. A good vocal exercise to start with would doing the “Do Re Mi” scale so you can get better at hitting notes, and then do the half pitch variation once you’re used to that. Above all, record yourself and compare to see where you need to improve. Sincerely, a choir kid 😊

Do you think this is good?

not completely just need some more practice, it sounds to me like you’re just having trouble physically hitting the note rather than not knowing what the note is, try some vocal warmups and scales to loosen up and it might be easier!

Ok, thank you! This is also a male song which was probably a poor choice of song lol. I’ve spent years being told by my sister that I am “untalented and completely tone deaf” but I’ve also played classical piano for 18 years so idk it didn’t sound that bad to me, but I was just curious about other’s opinions

Part of me wants to look for a voice teacher or something just for the heck of it, but if I’m as terrible as I’ve been told, I don’t want to waste anyone’s time. YouTube is a great resource though

you won’t be wasting anyone’s time!! voice teachers work with beginners all the time! people wouldn’t go to them if they were already perfect singers lol you could always try looking for a teacher who works with both children and adults because they might be more versed in teaching beginners (i went to one as a kid and fully credit her for my ability now)

I may look into that after my semester is over, thank you! I just feel like a voice teacher can only do so much if I’m completely tone deaf, you know?
