How do I overcome the fear of going to the gym, I want to be better for myself and doing so I want to go to the gym. But everyone within the space feels so judgmental and mean. What can I do to overcome this feeling???

I mean first of all nobody is focusing on you, everyone is much more concerned with how they look than they are with how you look. Also what are you trying to accomplish at the gym? If it does really freak you out you could just do home workouts if that works for your goals. All you really need is a floor and maybe a yoga mat to do some really productive calisthenics.

I have body dysmorphia and finally had to realize that I’m more judgmental of myself than others. Me focusing on what other people think is not going to make me feel happier and healthier in my body, but going to the gym very well might.

Everyone is so worried about themselves they’re not paying attention. The same way you’re feeling a lot of people are! Also worse case, someone side eyes you, they’ll probably forget in a few minutes. You got this!!

I have that feeling too sometimes, but I know for sure that nobody cares. You could try going with someone, that always helps.

No one cares about you like that. They're working out minding their business. Feels judgemental? Like how can people make up this stuff in their mind? No one's judgemental because no one cares. You have to stop this. Just go to the gym

Earbuds, and act like you the only one there. Go during hours nobody else really shows up. Do what feels right for you.

Could also just try a different gym. I’ve found that gyms do have a slightly varying vibe depending on owners and patrons and whatnot, might just wanna try another one
