Labeling everyone you disagree with Nazi, Fascist, racist, etc. causes those words, which are pretty serious words, to lose meaning and weight. It also instantly brands the losers tossing them around as people incapable of arguing the merits of policy because they’re having to resort to name calling.

Because if you do not believe that Trump is racist or a fascist, this conversation is pointless. You are arguing that I cannot call someone I disagree with a racist (which I didn’t) but you are fine with the og comment calling everyone “mentally challenged”. you genuinely are hypocritical.

Okay sure here’s another reason. He has ostracized democratic political figures along with wanting to silence media outlets by saying they are politically biased and not conforming to his policies. An aspect of a fascist leader is the power of silencing of other political beliefs and practices and figures. By deeming something inhumane.

Relative to other currencies yes, but your numbers are out of date and it’s now less than 10%. That is driven by a variety of factors, most notably tariffs and the tailing effects of inflationary economic policy from before Trump took office. The tariffs have been used as a negotiation chip to get other countries to drop or lower their tariffs against us, to redistribute which countries we import things from (it’s dumb from a foreign policy standpoint to get so much from China), and to

Which specific political figures did he ostracize, and why? The President doesn’t have the power to silence media outlets. Presidents do often make comments about political coverage in media, though. CBS says canceling Colbert is a financial decision. Kimmel was suspended because he made a nasty, false remark that caused affiliates to drop his show. Trump certainly commented, and so did the FCC, and I’m not surprised about either given the FCC has a stake in the news being shared being real.

The consumer might only face short-term pain, but small businesses and farmers face long-term pain. They are losing money and going bankrupt. We are already planning to subsidize farmers *again* due to their losses from retaliatory tariffs from China. They haven’t placed a single order of soybeans from the US this season (and fall is usually a big season). Last year, they imported almost a billion bushels of soy in the entire year

The FCC has the power to revoke broadcast licenses, and ABC uses broadcast TV extensively (vs cable). We know Trump directs the agencies under the executive branch to do things according to his wishes, instead of giving them some independence. Moreover, Nexstar knows that the FCC has to not only approve their merger with Tegna, but also remove the 39% threshold that would make the merger illegal. This is a quid pro quo in plain sight

Farmers have been subsidized in the U.S. for decades, and tariffs caused it to happen again. At some point we’ve got to peel the onion and get to the bottom of that issue and fix it or else resign ourselves to the fact that domestic food production is necessary and important and continue to eat the losses. Some small businesses being negatively impacted is unfortunate, but necessary. At least it isn’t pretty much all of them taking a hit like it was under covid lockdowns.

But we’re passing more funding for Israel, surveillance of US citizens, and a bailout of Argentina’s self-inflicted financial crisis. How is any of that America First? Please tell me where I said I didn’t care while any other president was in power? Again, your false accusations and assumptions do not equal a good argument

I never said I blamed trump exclusively. I blame every politician who never released them and every politician who is in them. You are again making assumptions

so more than half of the Country doesn’t have a working brain? I think people forget that he actually won the popular vote. I just don’t understand why people hate him so much for no apparent reason.

Yes. Half the population is in fact stupid. You don’t understand why people hate him? They should have stopped supporting him as soon as he said that he wanted to grab a women by the pussy, that should have been enough for people to not like him. Trump literally said smart people don’t like him

The word fascist refers to an extreme totalitarian political ideology and philosophical system developed from Hegel by a man named Giovani Gentili in the early twentieth century. It has precisely nothing to do with Hitler except in that he later adopted it as his ideology.
