I never said you didn’t exist. I said the numbers are overwhelmingly in the other direction. I’ll add that except in incompetent places like Seattle, this will never work. Even there, CHAZ/CHOP only lasted a few weeks and collapsed due to participants raping each other and not having enough food. Lefties can temporarily “seize the means of production,” but they don’t know what to do with it once they have it.
No, we are. You’re disagreeing with someone who was challenging the absurd idea that Trump is a Nazi. I’m close enough in what I said. Words have meaning, you know. Labeling everyone you disagree with Nazi, Fascist, racist, etc. causes those words, which are pretty serious words, to lose meaning and weight. It also instantly brands the losers tossing them around as people incapable of arguing the merits of policy because they’re having to resort to name calling.
My genuine question for you is, do you truly believe Trump displays no racist or fascist behavior? That his laws and what he says to the public is for everyone in our country? Because if you do not believe that Trump is racist or a fascist, this conversation is pointless. You are arguing that I cannot call someone I disagree with a racist (which I didn’t) but you are fine with the og comment calling everyone “mentally challenged”. you genuinely are hypocritical.
I think words too extreme for the situation were picked up off the shelf and tossed around until they lost all their meaning. I think those words are being used instead of having a direct discussion on the merits of specific policy, which is intellectually lazy and designed to wind people up instead of doing anything at all to convince anyone that a specific policy is bad.
If you’re going to use the words, back them up. Make specific points. Don’t be lazy. And no, I don’t think most of the left is mentally challenged, and that’s some of the same rhetoric I’m talking about, but I do think there are a whole lot of people who never learned how to debate a point or think critically.
Oh sure, so the term “make America great again” should be a good start. When you go back to history books, a majority of the people in America were not given equality opportunities and silenced if not outright discriminated. The term for MAGA that a Trump openly supports and promotes, you should ask yourself “who is he making the country great for?” The answer is for billionaires like him. That’s just one, from his first term!
Okay sure here’s another reason. He has ostracized democratic political figures along with wanting to silence media outlets by saying they are politically biased and not conforming to his policies. This has caused people like Colbert to be ended, and Jimmy Kimmel (up until he came back, which has angered him again.) An aspect of a fascist leader is the power of silencing of other political beliefs and practices and figures. By deeming something inhumane.
Relative to other currencies yes, but your numbers are out of date and it’s now less than 10%. That is driven by a variety of factors, most notably tariffs and the tailing effects of inflationary economic policy from before Trump took office. The tariffs have been used as a negotiation chip to get other countries to drop or lower their tariffs against us, to redistribute which countries we import things from (it’s dumb from a foreign policy standpoint to get so much from China), and to
Which specific political figures did he ostracize, and why? The President doesn’t have the power to silence media outlets. Presidents do often make comments about political coverage in media, though. CBS says canceling Colbert is a financial decision. Kimmel was suspended because he made a nasty, false remark that caused affiliates to drop his show. Trump certainly commented, and so did the FCC, and I’m not surprised about either given the FCC has a stake in the news being shared being real.
The consumer might only face short-term pain, but small businesses and farmers face long-term pain. They are losing money and going bankrupt. We are already planning to subsidize farmers *again* due to their losses from retaliatory tariffs from China. They haven’t placed a single order of soybeans from the US this season (and fall is usually a big season). Last year, they imported almost a billion bushels of soy in the entire year
The FCC has the power to revoke broadcast licenses, and ABC uses broadcast TV extensively (vs cable). We know Trump directs the agencies under the executive branch to do things according to his wishes, instead of giving them some independence. Moreover, Nexstar knows that the FCC has to not only approve their merger with Tegna, but also remove the 39% threshold that would make the merger illegal. This is a quid pro quo in plain sight
“Trump is the man” who is noted to visit Epstein island 8 times, who went into miss teen USA dressing rooms, who is trying to eliminate democracy, who’s making the poor pay so the rich can hoard more money, and who has repeatedly admitted to hating half the country. But yea you still suck his tiny wiener bc he told u to!
Nazi, no idea. He’s a little too comfortable with them though. Fascist, certainly. I mean he does whatever he can to suppress the media painting him in a negative light. Plus he admitted multiple times the election was rigged but he keeps suppressing the clips of it online and in the news. Racist, certainly. He’s just not openly racist (meaning not admitting it). It just doesn’t hide all that well in what he does.
Farmers have been subsidized in the U.S. for decades, and tariffs caused it to happen again. At some point we’ve got to peel the onion and get to the bottom of that issue and fix it or else resign ourselves to the fact that domestic food production is necessary and important and continue to eat the losses. Some small businesses being negatively impacted is unfortunate, but necessary. At least it isn’t pretty much all of them taking a hit like it was under covid lockdowns.
The FCC never got involved in the Biden social media thing. No one made threats about the ability for them to continue operating. They could have refused. The admin and CDC were urging them to take down misinformation. They didn’t say “do this or we’ll take away your license” or “do this or we’ll sue you”
Donald Trump’s name appears multiple times as a passenger on Epstein’s plane in the 1990s. Trumps HIMSELF said he went into girls dressing rooms because he owned the pageant. Trump said he’s “not joking” about a third term. The Big beautiful bill has far more negative financial effects on the poor rather than the wealthy. And he has said many times how he hates liberals. So maybe take ur head out of ur ass and read something.
They have never said they were coerced. They only complied because it was good for business at the time, and a decent amount of the public thought something needed to be done about election and COVID misinformation. In fact, much of the actions they took against both of those was done before Biden was even president. Now the public’s stance seems to have changed, so they go along with it. They just do whatever ensures the most revenue
Worldwide malaria and polio prevention to prevent those diseases from coming back to the US, economic and educational development to steer people in poor countries away from piracy and terrorism that affects the US, and other programs that improved this country’s image were all beneficial for it in the end. We weren’t always doing that stuff just to be nice — it benefited us as well
Zuckerberg said he was pressured, but that the decision was ultimately Meta’s. That said, when the government is pressuring you to do something and you refuse, then you know the government has the ability to make your personal and business life hell. Coercion isn’t an unrealistic word to use.
“America First” is a misnomer. The dollar has devalued, prices are rising, the job market sucks, and Medicaid is being cut. But we’re passing more funding for Israel, surveillance of US citizens, and a bailout of Argentina’s self-inflicted financial crisis. How is any of that America First? As a side note, it doesn’t really matter what their goals were. USAID was established by an act of Congress and funded by Congress. The executive doesn’t get to dismantle it themselves.
Zuckerberg only said it because the timing was convenient. He was free to push back on the government as soon as they asked him to take down posts. Apple and Google have both fought the government on things where they thought the government was overstepping their bounds. There’s a reason he waited until 4 years after the fact, and it’s because people no longer cared as much about election and COVID misinformation. His business does better with republicans in office who won’t sue for antitrust…
All the news sources are bias in one way or another. So for the majority tell me how the bumbling idiot that can’t walk up stairs was better. I also bet for the majority on this thread thinks it’s ok to defund the police and half this other pile of bullshit. Additionally it’s okay for the Clinton’s Michael and barrack and even the Bidens to go to Epstein island? Just trying to understand
I feel so sorry for you that you clearly were so abused as a child that you turn to hate thinking it’s love. You’re really not helping your case by saying that “if you disagree with me, you should have been beaten” Really showing the stereotypical vile republican behavior. AND you’re admitting that you became this way because of abuse and hatred. How is that in any way intelligent, or going to make people want to be on your side? Yikes, find jesus… or at least someone who loves you
Have you ever read anything? Or done your own research? Or are you another republican that can’t think for themselves and only follow what the right wing media and your parents tell you? Anyone with a working brain doesn’t like Trump. I mean, he literally said smart people don’t like him. Do your own research and stop expecting everyone else to do it for you when you’re probably just going to deny it anyway
When did I mention Biden? I didnt say I liked him, or said that he wasnt any of those things. You’re assuming because I hate trump that i am Bidens biggest fan, which is untrue. Both are terrible. Lets release the epstein files and see if they are both in them. Doesnt change the fact that Trump is disgusting
Do you know me? How would you know the things I believe or say? I have been an active supporter of releasing the files since the beginning. Again, you’re assuming things about me because you have not other way to argue. Its sad. Also, again, I never brought up Biden once. I never said anything about him, you did, because you’re trying to deflect from the fact that our president is pos. and I feel the same way about Biden
I’m not deflecting. Whether he’s in them or not, release them. I said the same thing when Biden was president. He should have released them too! Again you don’t know me or know what I stand for, so you cannot make an accurate assumption about me or my beliefs. Sorry I don’t suck president dick, like you so clearly do. Let’s not idolize any president. They are all corrupt. I don’t think you understand what the word deflecting means, I will pray that you learn to read and write soon
Show me where I deflected once? You’re the one that keeps bringing inaccurate assumptions about me to try and prove a point. Sorry that not everyone is die-hard for political candidates. I didnt support him then, and I don’t now. Again, I personally, have been saying release the files since the beginning. Just because you were unaware about the world before trump, does not mean others were…
Yes. Half the population is in fact stupid. You don’t understand why people hate him? They should have stopped supporting him as soon as he said that he wanted to grab a women by the pussy, that should have been enough for people to not like him. Trump literally said smart people don’t like him
