Look I agree that certain crimes based on severity warrant more severe punishments but the only issue with that is the possibility that someone could die or be severely punished over false convictions which disproportionately affect poc and impoverished people

Castration would be a highly effective punishment for violent criminals. It would both make them less violent and stop them from reproducing.

There are worse punishments than death that cost less money in appeals and actual euthanasia costs

The main issue is that the courts are never 100% accurate. Innocent people will always get killed. It's a question of if killing those murderers is worth some innocent people never getting the chance to be exonerated and I don't see that as worth it
