Is love bombing just grooming repackaged to seem more friendly? Why or why not?

I think grooming implies some position of power/seniority/authority/trust over the other person, whereas anyone can lovebomb. like if you met someone at a bar as equals and adults i don't think you'd ever say they were grooming you but they could definitely lovebomb you

I can understand that but I also think that grooming can happen at any age and in most positions of power. I have experience with both and both used similar tactics. They acted a certain way or would say things in order to get a certain reaction. The one who love bombed me though, was objectively lower than me. I had seniority over him in everything.

I probably should have kept it more vague in asking if we repackage grooming for adults with different words (love bombing, manipulation, etc) and why we do that. Sorry, that’s on me.
