Unfortunately the answer to a lot of questions of “why is this hair type or style considered unprofessional” is racism

Racism. The idea that curly hair is messy, unkept, unprofessional etc has been seen throughout history as a way of promoting eurocentric features. In developed countries rules tend to protect against hair violations like that. This can also be seen as a multitude of “evil” characters tend to have frizzier or curly hair.

You never noticed that one specific race has 99.999% curly hair? And that no other race has a majority/all of its members with curly hair? Oh wow.

I had someone tell me I wouldn’t get a job “with that hair” aka my curly hair. Obviously he was wrong but some people think like him.

Irish isn’t a race it’s a nationality and only 15% of white people have curly hair.
