Realistically, is the hantavirus cruise situation going to possibly lead to an outbreak? Or the odds of that pretty low as of now? Ik Argentina already has some mainland cases before this but they seem to have it contained right?
i dont think its going to be as big of a thing as covid bc covid was a lot more easily transmittable whereas w this u have to be in close contact for a prolonged period of time to get it

With the rise of antimasking and antivaxxing, it’s definitely going to be spread. It’s just not as likely to be as prevalent as Covid, at least not as quickly.

Hamstervirus can’t spread bc it kills off its hosts too fast. It can’t mutate fast either

so in other words its a lot easier to contain & prevent from going rampant & infecting lots of ppl like covid did

That makes sense, we can only hope to properly treat and contain it before it can evolve to the point where it can spread quicker than it does now

the pilot who caught it from flying a cruise attendee home was not in close contact
