my therapist said "just go into every interaction prepared for her to be a bitch until you can move out, and try to minimize comtact until then"

I moved out my first year of high school I stayed with a friend and then my aunt until I moved in with my dad if you are over 18 get a job move in with someone if u can and pay them rent it’s a lot cheaper then alone or live with relative but if you can’t just be nice and distance

i’m a college first year so this isn’t really working. i can’t afford to move out and they wouldn’t let me.

Well if you’re a legal adult they can’t not let you. Get a job while youre in school and start saving up to move. Seriously. It’s not worth your mental health.

there’s no genuine way i can afford college without them so i need to make sure i can at least figure out my financial situation. and i have a younger sibling that i don’t want to “leave” behind unless i can at least properly talk to her without them
