I think that they are completely different kinds of person. Though Trump has his flaws, he is generally truthful and is trying to move the country in a direction I agree with. People will tell you “Trump is betraying his base” and “he’s not doing what he said he would.” But that’s largely partisan rhetoric, Trump has delivered on most of his promises and is having what I consider to be a positive impact on the country.
RFK on the other hand, though he may be completely genuine in what he says, holds many bad ideas and has a long history of fighting on what I consider to be the wrong side. He was even directly involved in a reprehensible campaign in American Samoa to demonize vaccines which led to the deaths of dozens of children from a preventable disease.
To be honest I don’t know why that doesn’t get more attention than it does. I’m fully vaccinated and support vaccines as a mandate, I’ve met many “anti vaxers” but never one who’s had to burry a child because of a preventable disease. They tend to change their position after that, though it’s often too late.
This is genuinely wild to me because I completely 100% agree with you about RFK but Trump is literally the same guy, in my estimation. History of sexual misconduct, dead ex wives, incapable of telling the truth. Again, definitely don't want to argue with you and I respect that you seem like a reasonable person, but Trump has been spouting anti-vax stuff for years too, with the sole exception of when he was giving himself credit for Operation Warp Speed (which he does technically get credit for!)
