How do I tell my boyfriend I don’t want constant validation, but him saying nice things sometimes or being comforting when I’m sad would be nice. I feel like he’s very hey everything will get better keep pushing but I’m super down and struggling

He might be saying these things because he has some inner emotional trauma on the outside us men may appear tough but the truth is we bottle up all the pain on the inside there is a good chance that he might just want to make you smile as he wants to make sure your happy seeing a happy woman makes a man happy (sorry if I didn’t convey this right I’m drunk)
