It’s a paradox. If you dont know them, they can waste your time or all kinds of trouble and their history doesn’t follow them. Knowing people is key but often it as easy to know new people versus the past. This is the downside of the internet culture. All these choices online but in reality it’s all noise when there isn’t a history to look at.

Find activities or groups that people regularly go and basically invest time on such communities to get to know them overtime and make your pick.
