I have two degrees. Excellent internships. Perfect resume. Well known people in the field as references. Networked like a pro. Still unemployed. The job market is a joke. A literal joke.

Have you taken the lower paying position? It’s easy to move up in a company starting from the bottom. Some money is better than no money right?

Yes. Still don’t get hired. I apply for shit that only requires a high school diploma and still ghosted. Not to mention my field has job posting that requires masters and only pay $35k/yr. The job market has collapsed. It’s over

Not OP, but am currently going through the same situation. I have been applying to jobs that need a high school diploma/bachleors and keep getting rejected. My field is biology (but I trying to work in infectious diseases) but I know I need a Masters/PhD, which I applied for a PhD program last year and got rejected! So I’m going to try again this year and hope I don’t get rejected.

Our college in Texas has a human genetics PhD. It’s quite new and doesn’t get as many applications
