I went cold turkey last night on 🍃. Been about 5 years since I really even went a day without so now that I’m nearing 24hr, I’m thinking I need some advice on keeping focused. Since basically everything I used to do, I’d smoke for.

The two biggest things I’ve found with sobriety (short or long term) are keep busy doing literally anything and try to avoid the most common situations you’d use in as much as possible, at least for a bit until you feel more comfortable and confident in your sobriety. That can mean switching up hobbies, environments, routines. Whatever helps set a new normal. It’s helpful to look up urge surfing too. And remember it’s totally normal to still want it and there’s no value judgement on cravings

That’s the biggest problem I’ve had. Video games is what I’d smoke for the most😂😂.

I think I need to try the gum thing. I’ve been doing ice breakers which has helped a bit but they’re gone so fast. The icebreaker basically gives me some mouth feel I guess. If that makes sense.
