It’s mostly cuz everyone already has the job u want here and there’s too many bro, my job keeps hiring and no one even gets enough time to make money

I think its that a lot of older more experienced people have lost their high level jobs in the past couple years so those people are applying to lower level jobs and they a) easily beat out younger competitors because they are way overqualified and b) stay in what are normally short-term jobs for much longer than we would

also at least in my field a LOT of companies and orgs have lost a ton of funding and so a lot of them have cancelled internship and training programs bc they just don’t have the money
