Working remotely at libraries, it’s clear why Indian and Asian kids succeed. Every single day I see large groups of them studying, tutoring, getting tutored, etc. Occasionally you’ll see a rich white mom with 4 kids. But it’s just a social visit.

I see people of all races at libraries working hard, getting tutored or tutoring, etc. Most of us are decent people who want to contribute to the world and want a safe place to live

I see more of Indian and Asian kids, 13-18 age group. No comment on their contribution or other intentions. But I am concerned about ethnocentrism leading to nepotism, a future where they only interact with, hire and promote within their own races. That’s a phenomenon that Americans mostly shed in 70s. And a problem I see at the company I work for.

I’m not worried. They are all gender study majors trying to figure out how to attract the opposite sex. 😂

I work in tech. It’s a major area of concern. Great people, love them and wish them no harm. However, many of our entry level positions are being farmed out to them as cheap labor. Meaning many young Americans won’t have the same opportunities I did to get a job. I’m not saying kick them all out. But I agree with pausing the H1b program for a few years to allow domestic college grads to get a job.

I don’t have a rank choice of races. I want to empower Americans primarily. Secondarily, I want America to attract the best talent based on merit - no matter what race.

Tbh. I see them as squandering a generational lead given the history of this country. Beyond that I’m empathetic to similarities in their situation as blacks and Hispanics in this country. That is to say I agree with the lesser-recited message of MLK’s speech. Our gov has systematically sold out the American people’s future and prosperity over the last few decades.

We have several trillion dollar companies in the country. Nvidia alone has a revenue higher than the GPD of most countries, including western ones like Canada. There is no reason every American can’t have access to a six-figure job. And there’s no reason why - if manufacturing weren’t outsourced - why we every American can’t have a guaranteed job that outpaces cost of living.
