Don’t fret OP. Sometimes it happens because friends rely on proximity and they at times need to move and thus they’ll move on. Other times it’s the bucket of crabs where the one crab that gets out the other crabs don’t let that one escape and keep it in the bucket. Friends will vanish when they can’t keep other friends at their level. In other words, life goals often require being alone to accomplish.
