you can only get to heaven if you walk with jesus, right? what about all of the people who don’t have any kind of access to the bible/the word? what about everyone who died as a baby? what about animals? do they all go to hell?

i believe the bible will let people who didn't know about it into heaven if they led good lives bc they didn't have the choice to not believe. ironically, this means the more christians spread their gospel the more ppl are doomed to hell bc more ppl know about it, especially ppl with other religions.

Brother, the bible isn’t even what Jesus taught his people

different denominations have different answers, and some people within those denominations don't agree with those answers. The church my grandma went to said babies who aren't baptized go to hell but when you go to heaven you won't miss them 🫪

Personally as a Catholic/Christian, I’ve learned that those who die as a baby go straight to heaven, I was taught that we are all born with ‘original sin’ as babies, which is why we must be baptized. But I believe that a Loving God wouldn’t cast aside his child who died so young. Animals obey God and know him. Like Job 12:7-10 speaks something similar, and in Noah’s Ark all of these animals came to his ark because God had commanded them to. Because of these scriptures we are lead to believe that

Commonly known as “invincible ignorance”. The Catechism of the Catholic Church says that God doesn’t condemn people for lacking knowledge they couldn’t possibly have. If they have never heard of Jesus Christ and his teachings, but still seek God and seek to do His will can still be saved.

Dante put the virtuous pagans in the first circle of Hell, which is rather nice compared to everything except actual Heaven. Also the basis for a killer novel by Solzhenitsyn.

yes, jesus’ teaching were all word of mouth. but the bible is supposed to be the sequence of events that happened. that is what christianity uses to teach the gospel. what is your point?

took me a minute to remember their stance on animals, but they believe animals don't have souls so they don't go to heaven or hell

To be honest with you, I don’t have an answer for that.

Oh my! I was taught completely different because babies don’t know any better. And there’s a verse abt children specifically inheriting the kingdom of God. And for animals, animals listen to the voice of God as he commands them. So with that in mind I’d think that they go to heaven.

i said it in my comment above but from what i know, as long as you lead a good life you're able to since you didn't get the choice to believe or to not believe

According to who? Do you have the original source?

what exactly are you getting at? the bible is the word and what christianity teaches. we don’t know exactly what jesus taught, but the bible is believed to be aligned with his teachings. if you’re trying to have a “gotcha” moment without even even attempting to answer the original question (aka the whole point of this post,) you’re welcome to move along with your life.

My point is regardless of whether you follow the bible, whether the book of the bible has reached you or not, you are not following what Jesus taught. Which answers your question. Where is the evidence that the bible is accurate or reliable or uncorrupted or connected to what Jesus himself taught
