how do you get over the fear of going to the gym? will i be judged about my shoes? clothes?

Expose therapy man. Go with a friend or two if needed. But everybody at the gym is just working on themselves as well. They aren’t going to judge you

A good starting point is to go in and walk the treadmill for 15 min then you can leave if your uncomfy. A lot of people are worried about this and majority aren’t looking at other people. As long as your not like neon colors or wearing suit lol 😂 I think your fine. Shorts or joggers with casual shirt.

If you wear headphones 99% of the time no one will speak to you and leave you alone, everyone is truly in the gym to get in and get out if someone’s judging you then they have nothing better to do lol also starting at a small gym instead of a chain helps

I’m a chubby beginner in the gym with the worst clothes. Nobody cares. People may look at you for a brief moment yet people are too obsessed with themselves to pay you a second thought. As the first few comments said exposure therapy! You’ll never get over the fear if you don’t face it head on

I accidentally went to the gym today in heels and forgot my workout shoes, I just worked out in the corner in my socks, nobody cared or noticed. You good homie!
