I do minimal reading but lots of practice and I do really well at school

I just reread my notes but also I’m one of those assholes that is a good test taker so I never fucking learned how to study

What worked for me was reading my notes in intervals. And go do something else. Come back later and read them again. I would do that the day before my test. Or night before is decent enough

I am a kinesthetic learner, so when I have to study content heavy classes, like science or history, I’ll use a notepad/scratch paper and mindlessly write notes on what I want to learn. This helps me process the info better! This does NOT mean rewrite all your notes, it means: study and as you study write, as FAST AND unorganized as you can. The goal is that mind muscle connection!
