Dropping the phone 30 min before bed is the best habit. It’ll still take around 15 minutes to fall asleep, but as long as you haven’t exposed your eyes to any kind of screen, then you should soundly fall asleep. Melatonin and valerian root can help, but only if you drop the screen usage before bed.

If you aren’t falling asleep get up and walk around a little,use the bathroom,get a drink. That sometimes works for me

Eating a heavy meal right before bed. Everyone says not to but it's the only thing that ensures I fall asleep quickly and stay asleep so idc. I make sure to eat dinner no more than an hour before I go to sleep.
